Carly Armacost

Carly Armacost is one of the Calabasas Klubhouse Executive Directors and has been working with children for over 24 years. Carly holds a BA in Communications from California State University, Northridge, and has countless additional educational units in Early Childhood Education.

Carly feels that dedicating her career to working with children and their families is something that she is very proud of. Playing a role in how children develop from being toddlers to when they graduate is such a meaningful job. Carly prides herself on being able to provide ever evolving quality programs that support the community in which these programs operate. Having a good relationship with the community in which our programs operate, with our school families, and with our staff makes a huge impact on the programs that we're able to offer and is something that we work hard at.

Carly is waiting for issuance of a Child Development Site Supervisor Permit (2nd highest level) issued by the California Department of Education Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). She also holds a number of other health and safety certifications.

One of Carly's favorite projects over the years is the composting program that is in place at the preschool. In collaboration with Full Circle Compost, we have been able to develop a gardening program stemming from using soil that was created from our food waste. Families can participate by bringing in food waste from home.

When she's not working, Carly enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children.
